The Water Resources Unit (WRU) at WII has been established to study key areas of water resource management in the Indian subcontinent and promote an integrated approach for the management of this ‘life-giving’ resource. A large portion of WRU’s initial work focused primarily on water alone (earlier projects can be viewed under ‘Completed Projects’). In the past year or so, WRU has widened its scope and included a more holistic approach to executing projects that examine the linkages between water and other resources (land, forests, energy).
