P.R.K.Sobhanbabu (Head, Hyderabad Regional Center, and Senior Program Officer) has over 16 years of field research and consultancy experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and cleaner production. He has conducted or supervised over 200 energy/environmental studies for a number of large, medium, small scale industries and commercial buildings. As team leader, he was involved in a number of SME cluster development projects, energy & environmental benchmarking studies, resource efficiency studies, industrial cogeneration projects, cleaner production studies, and bioenergy development strategies. He received training in demand-side management in the US, advanced training in green productivity in Philippines, hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) and food safety management system in India. He is a member of All India Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) and alumni member of Asia Productivity Organization (APO) & US Asia Environmental Training Institute (USETI). He holds Master’s Degree (M.Tech) in Chemical Engineering with specialization in Petroleum & Coal from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. He is currently heading the Hyderabad Regional Centre of WII.

Ravi Chander Rangavajjula (Program Officer) holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and has more than 18 years of experience in energy generation, energy distribution and project management. He has served as an engineer with the National Thermal Power Corporation, as project manager in Bharat Dynamics Limited where he handled many industrial electrification and energy distribution projects, and has worked extensively on grid quality power generation from biomass sources through gasification and energy efficiency in industries.

C K Kumarswamy (Program Officer) is an M.Tech in Tool Engineering from Government Tool Room & Training Center, Mysore. Prior to joining WII, he worked with TIDE, Bangalore since 2000. He has over seven years of experience in Renewable Energy Technologies (Biomass, Biogas). He also has an experience in design, implementation and field testing of products for effective use of bio-energy and significant experience in the use of monitoring equipments such as Flew Gas Analyser, Anemometer, Thermometer etc.
