P.R.K. Sobhanbabu (Program Manager and Head, HRC) has over 18 years of field research and consultancy experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and cleaner production. He has conducted or supervised over 200 energy/environmental studies for a number of large, medium, small scale industries and commercial buildings. As team leader, he was involved in a number of SME cluster development projects, energy & environmental benchmarking studies, resource efficiency studies, industrial cogeneration, cleaner production studies & demonstration, and bioenergy development strategies. He has received training in demand-side management in the US, advanced training in green productivity in Philippines, hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) and food safety management system in India. He is a member of the All India Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) and alumni member of Asia Productivity Organization (APO) & US Asia Environmental Training Institute (USETI). He holds Master’s Degree (M.Tech) in Chemical Engineering with specialization in Petroleum & Coal from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. He is currently heading the Hyderabad Regional Centre of WII.
C K Kumarswamy (Program Officer)Completed M.Tech in Tool Engineering and B.E. in Industrial & Production Engineering from Mysore University He has more than 8 years of experience in Renewable Energy technologies viz., Biomass combustion stoves for domestic and commercial applications, biomass driers, gasification stoves. As a team member he has been involved in village energy security program for accessing the project, designing, drawing and implementation of energy efficient large cooking stoves in Andhra Pradesh.
As a team member, he is involved in feasibility study for claiming carbon credits from LP and TLBs which includes design of monitoring methodology. He has given training to villagers in construction and maintenance of domestic stoves and also have been involved in energy audits for a few industries.
Anisha K. Bhattacharya (Program Associate) is an M.Tech in Energy Technology from Tezpur University, Assam and completed her B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur, UP, in the year 2004. Prior to Joining Winrock, Anisha was working with DSCL Energy Services Company Ltd., Delhi as a project Analyst Trainee for a period of one year. In Winrock, as a team member, Anisha is involved with the Energy Audit Study of the MP State Tourism Development Corporation Hotels and with the JICA Project for providing Consulting Services for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Energy Saving Project. Dhandapani PT (Program Associate) is a Gold Medalist in M. Tech in Energy Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu. He completed his B. Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from University College of Engineering, Kakatiya University, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh. Prior to joining WII, he was working with Cholamadalam MS Risk Services Limited as Deputy Manager- Energy & Environment.
Dhandapani has about 17 months of consultancy experience in Energy Efficiency, Power Quality and Renewable Energy. He has conducted over 30 energy and 10 power quality studies in varies industries such as cement, ceramics, construction equipments, garment manufacturing, pharma and commercial buildings.Preeti Gupta (Associate-Program Support) holds a B.Com degree from Osmania University and is currently pursuing her MBA (specialization in HR) from Pondicherry University. Prior to joining Winrock International India she worked with PVR Limited as an Administrative Assistant for over one and a half years and has three years of working experience, in administration, accounts and HR activities, with Gandhi & Gandhi Chartered Accountants and Aspire Learning Centre. She has also been involved in the preparation of MIS reports, operations and marketing activities.
