Sony RK (Field Officer) is a post graduate in Zoology from Goa University. His interests include Wild life biology, Behavioral ecology and Cognitive ethology. Apart from this he has interest in Cognitive Neuroscience, Philosophy of Mind and Biology. He has received a Summer Research Fellowship in 2008 sponsored by Indian Academy of Sciences, Banglore to work on the Systematic Entomology Laboratory on “Taxonomy of Chalcid parasitoids associated with Butterflies and Moths of Kerala”. The objective of the study was to depict the grandness of Chalcids in biological control programme by studying its taxonomy and association with Butterflies and Moths. He has actively participated in the conservation programmes of Society for Environmental Education in Kerala. Presently Sony is working on the ecology of Nilgiri Tahr – an endemic mammal in Western Ghats.
