Montek for promoting renewable energy

NEW DELHI: Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia on Thursday spoke for the need to find a long-term alternative to the use of petroleum products. At a seminar organized by Winrock International India, he said he supported the need to promote renewable energy sources. He is also in favour of granting tax incentive to make biofuels economically feasible.
