With financial support from the Ford Foundation, WII coordinated a delegation of 20 water specialists, scientists and grassroot level workers from India and Nepal to attend the Second World Water Forum at The Hague in the third week of March 2000. The Second World Water Forum marked the conclusion to a long series of sessions during which thousands of concerned citizens addressed the water crisis that threatens us all. In The Hague a Vision was unveiled projecting a scenario of how the water situation of the world could look 25 years from now - if we act today. This event was attended by hundreds of water specialists, politicians, leading experts and top officials from across the globe.
