Seventy-two faculty members representing 15 state universities participated in a one-year training program in the United States in cooperation with 14 US universities with recognized departments of forestry. Each Indian faculty member received training from among eight disciplines, including seed technology, nursery technology, tree crop culture, tree genetics, forest soils, tree physiology, forest pathology, and forest entomology. This project was part of the Winrock International country office, executed by Winrock International India.
