WII, in association with Winrock International India, worked on this project to complete the following tasks:

Under the Cambodia renewable energy project, in which WII was the main consultant (June 2000-Jan 2002), several studies were carried out and a lot of data was collected from various sources. This task involved detailed analysis of the data collected so far.

Formulation of Rural Electrification Strategy
An important component of the Rural Electrification Strategy was the Renewable Energy Policy Statement. This policy statement is the expression of the commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia to facilitate and promote renewable energy in Cambodia. WII and WI assisted the World Bank and the Royal Government of Cambodia in formulating the Renewable Energy Policy Statement.

Detailed Financial, Economic and Subsidy Analysis
The objective of this task was to carry out a detailed economic and social cost-benefit analysis of various options of rural electrification. Annotated Summary of all Projects Several reports developed earlier have been summarized.

Creation of Web site
WII developed a website www.recambodia.org for information dissemination.
