Background
Japan government showed their interest to make the Indian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector energy efficient, environment friendly and cost effective, to fulfill this; Japanese ODA loan has extended the line of credit to SIDBI, to provide the loans to various energy efficiency projects in different MSME clusters in India.
 
Objectives
The objective of the ongoing project is to provide Consulting Services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to JICA/ SIDBI with respect to Energy Saving and Environmental monitoring. The project also aims at analyzing the technical and financial feasibility of various proven energy saving technologies for a wide array of industrial sectors and geographically distributed MSME clusters.

Activities

  • Awareness Campaigns for Energy Savings in twenty different MSME clusters.
  • Maintenance of energy saving list in various MSME clusters.
  • Monitoring of social and environmental impact.
  • Monitoring operation and effect indicators.
  • Publication of quarterly news letter.
  • Maintenance of website which contains all the list of energy saving equipments/technologies in various sectors.
  • Training and capacity building of SIDBI & PLIs/NBFCs.
