Background
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is intending to appoint Executing Agencies (EAs) for undertaking energy efficiency activities in the BEE SME programme.
 
Objectives
The global objective of the project is to improve the energy intensity of the Indian economy by undertaking the energy efficiency measures in the Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) sector which directly produces almost 60% of the total GDP. The immediate objective of the project is to accelerate the adoption of Energy Efficiency (EE) technologies and practices in 25 chosen clusters in SME sector through knowledge sharing, capacity building and development of innovative financing mechanisms.

Activities

  • Situation Analysis in the Brass, Jamnagar Cluster.
  • Detailed Energy audit in the cluster.
  • Organization of workshop to various stake holders.
  • Preparation of DPRs and implementation of EE projects.
  • Selection of Local Service Providers(LSPs).
  • Capacity Building of LSPs.
  • Capacity Building of Banks to evaluate EE projects.
  • Final dissemination workshop to various stake holders in the Brass, Jamnagar cluster.
