Narrative description of Project:
The objective of the project is to design and demonstrate energy efficiency measures in the energy intensive rolling mill cluster in the state of Gujarat. The initiative has been designed in such a way that large scale replication and upscaling of the demonstrated energy efficiency measures can be facilitated.

The multi-phase and multi-year initiative has achieved its objective by way of successful completion of above activities in the demonstration phase. The project has generated immense replication potential owing to substantial decrease in fossil fuel consumption, improvement in work place environment and huge monetary benefits by reduction in scale losses. Further, it remains to leverage additional support by facilitating convergence of other government initiatives and subsequently undertake accompanying measures to up scale the demonstrated technological option.
