Winrock organized two day training for in service forest officers nominated by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) on “Landscape/Eco-regional approach to livelihood and conservation”. The objective of the training was to promote capacity building in the forestry sector program for the forest officers to the larger challenge of developing a landscape mind set, that help the landscape practitioners to look for commonality of interest across the service delivery agencies/organizations working in a given landscape. The session identified challenges to bring new knowledge and skill sets that would help the development practitioners achieve both conservation as well as the livelihood objectives. |
