The aim of the project is to reverse the process of degradation by improving the productive potential of natural resource base and increase the income of rural households using a community driven development (CDD) approach. The secondary objective is to support policy and institutional development by harmonizing watershed approaches and programmes across the state in accordance with the best practices. The project is of 7 years duration and would culminate in 2013. In this regard, Winrock International India is undertaking a comprehensive Mid-Term Impact Assessment of the project to chart out the progress till date, describe achievement with respect to the various components and assess the outcomes and impacts at the halfway mark of implementation.
