The main objective of the project is to support DFID India in design of Climate Change Innovation Programme, including selection and appraisal of thematic areas of focus, and specifications for the management of the Fund.

The main tasks of WII in the project are as follows:

• A scoping phase to identify and narrow down the thematic areas which CCIP will support.
• To provide a technical, economic, social and environmental appraisal of these areas so as to provide a basis for preparing a Programme Memorandum and to advice on the institutional mechanism and operational guidelines for managing the Programme.
