The Project activity involves processing of biomass mango fruit waste into fuel briquettes and other value added products which is used in boilers in, small to big industries, school/college canteens, office canteens, commercial canteens, company canteen, religious place's kitchen, restaurants kitchens, cosmetic industries and confectionary industry. etc. Presently there are more than 50 mango pulp industries in Krishnagiri Tamil nadu which generates around 200000lakhs tons of waste per season. These mango waste are processed and made into fuel briquettes and mango oil. In turn the mango bio fuel briquettes will replace the existing fuel like Coal, furnace oil and LPG. The project proponent plans to install the machineries in the mango pulp processing factories. The project activity aims at reducing green-house emissions by processing the fruit waste biomass, particularly the mango waste in Tamil Nadu. WII is facilitating the project proponent in building up the CDM project for registration at UNFCCC.
