The main activities under this project were:
Phase I: Methodology design
- Review relevant documentation on Hydrocarbon Refrigerators (HYREF), BEE energy efficiency standard for refrigerators as well as proposed and approved CDM methodologies in the field of energy efficiency for appliances applying methodology elements relevant for HYREF.
- Prepare an inception report comprising results of documentation analysis conceptual appraisal, key question identified, a draft work plan for phase I and IIa and proposed TOR for subtasks/schemes.
- Implement work plan for phase 1 (including mission of International Experts) in cooperation with key stake holders (project proponent, INFRAS/Southpolecarbon and other Indian experts); compile and analyse available primary and secondary data (market structure)
- Advise how to structure methodology, update work plan for phase IIa, lead in compilation data collection for draft PDD and TOR in phase IIa
Phase IIa: Final methodology including data evidence for benchmark and PDD
- Coach primary data collection by Project Proponent and institution contracted for baseline field sample test in consultation with INFRAS and UNIDO, compile short interim report on analysis of data collected.
- Implement work plan for phase IIa (including mission of International Experts) in cooperation with key stake holders (project proponent, INFRAS/Southpolecarbon and other Indian experts); analyse and compile primary/secondary data generated in phase IIa for benchmark and emission reduction claimed.
- Compile, in cooperation with international experts, final new methodology and PDD for submission to DOE, Meth Panel and EB.
