The project aims at establishment of a community owned Rhododendron arboretum. This arboretum will help the scientific community to understand the biology of Rhododendrons. On the other hand it will also serve as a source of financial benefit to the locals as it will bring in tourists, who will be assisted by guides, trained from the village. A juice production unit has also been established within the arboretum, which will bring in further monetary benefits to the local community.
