With support from IVth Battalion, Indo Tibetan Border Police Force, community-livelihood oriented conservation initiatives have been undertaken in three border villages. This includes establishment of a community mushroom production centre at village Brokenthang and a community hand made paper unit at village Sangti. Through this program more support has also been provided to the Department of Science and Technology program and a food processing unit has been established at Sakpret village.
