The objective of the project is to develop bankable Small and Medium size Enterprise (SME) Plan in selected JFMCs in region C (namely Sidhi, Chattarpur and Sheopukalan) in consultation with communities and to build capacity of community group to execute the SME plan so developed. The specific tasks to be carried out include (i) development of Business Plan for SME based on resource, market and institutional assessment of the Region C and (ii) training and capacity building of JFMC in the region for executing the business plan on pilot basis. This will include assisting community groups implementing the plan to leverage institutional financing, training identified community groups to acquire entrepreneurship skill to execute the plan, building capacity of local NGOs/CBOs to provide long term hand holding support to communities and also assisting communities to execute one SME plan in each district on pilot basis.
