Winrock International India (WII) is a premier national level NGO working in the area of sustainable development, specifically in the field of energy & environment, natural resources management and climate change. WII is headquartered in New Delhi, having offices in Hyderabad, Kawardha (Chhattisgarh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Baripada (Orissa) and Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh).
WII seeks to recruit a committed, energetic, and experienced senior manager to serve as the Vice President. The Vice President will play a leadership role in WII, providing strategic management support to the organization's growing program team. This includes leading and managing the strategic planning, the partnership development and support. The Vice President will help staff develop and refine sector-based strategies and research, building internal capacity to engage in building development sector programs. The position requires vision, excellent managerial skills, and a commitment to WII's mission and approach.
- Role- Guide and implement projects on energy efficiency / renewable energy applications and climate change issues (including CDM)
- Approaching and influencing prospective donors such as international foundations, bi-lateral and multi-laterals, Government of India for projects
- Project formulation to meet the project proponents (terms of reference)
- Identify future focus areas for WII
- Knowledge and administrative and functional leadership skills very important as a number two in the organization
- Requirement- Age – Around 40 – 50 years
- Engineering background (mechanical / electrical / industrial) essential. Desirable Post Graduate in engineering / management
- A minimum of 20 years work experience of which at least 5 years of experience in energy efficiency / renewable energy / climate change sector
- Managerial and leadership experience to play the role of number two in the organization
- Position is based in Gurgaon. Must be ready to relocate to Gurgaon / Delhi / NCR
