Winrock International India (WII) is a premier national level NGO working in the area of sustainable development, specifically in the field of energy & environment, natural resources management and climate change. WII is headquartered in New Delhi, having offices in Hyderabad, Kawardha (Chhattisgarh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh), Baripada (Orissa) and Thrissur (Kerala). WII wishes to recruit professionals for its Energy& Environment (E&E) Group.
The E&E group predominantly works on various projects in the industrial energy efficiency area both with the Micro Small & Medium Enterprises and with the large industries (Designated Consumers defined by the BEE- Bureau Of Energy Efficiency). The E&E group conducts energy audits, evaluates energy efficiency projects for their environmental impact, prepares DPRs for energy efficiency projects and maintains a continuous interaction with technology providers. The group also conducts training programs for various audiences on energy efficiency issues.
WII is looking for professionals with at least a B. Tech in Engineering, Energy Auditor Certification from BEE and with about 5-7 years of experience. A sound knowledge of various issues related to energy efficiency, industrial processes, electricity generation and distribution are essential. The selected candidate is expected to support in implementing current project and developing proposals towards expanding the E&E portfolio. S/he will also represent WII in workshops / training programs, and network with funding agencies. The person should have a track record in energy audits and energy related development work. Ability to understand, synthesize and clearly articulate complex and technical issues; ability to exercise sound judgment; ability to meet multiple/overlapping deadlines, competing demands and urgent workload are some of the essential qualifications.
Candidates from industries with Energy Auditor Certification from BEE and 3 to 5 years of experience may also apply. The position is based in WII’s Gurgaon office and will require travel. Position and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Apply to:
