
The Workshop on EMPower Policy in Asia has been designed in a way so as to contribute towards building up capability in solar technologies at a national and international level, help better understand the required political and institutional frameworks, increase beneficiary components of solar energy from the perspective of finance and investment, and encourage implementation of large-scale solar energy projects in India and Philippines on the part of state utilities, private utilities and solar industry as a whole.
Apart from devising an action plan for solar energy professionals for better and effective implementation of solar energy related programs, the workshop will provide an opportunity to network with high level representatives from some of the world’s largest solar companies, policy makers, utilities, financial sector and development organizations. The workshop will have a strong emphasis on analyzing solar market potential in the EMPower countries, reviewing the existing market conditions and government initiatives to promote solar energy technologies. The experts deliberating the sessions will also highlight the large-scale solar project development opportunities in India and Philippines.
